What is the application window for Go with Maersk?
The global application window for Go with Maersk is from 15 December 2017 – 30 April 2018. All our locations are free to recruit within this time frame, which means that all positions have their own local recruitment timeline. Do I qualify to Go with Maersk?
To qualify you must have the following:
You have a MSc in a relevant discipline with a graduation date no later than the 1st of September of the year you are applying in. Relevant disciplines include (but are not limited to) business, supply chain, digital innovation, marketing, finance, or similar.
You have 2-3 years of relevant work experience. Your work experience can be either during, in-between or after your studies. Internships and field-related part time positions while studying counts as well. International experience is an advantage.
You are passionate about an international career in global trade and are dedicated about investing in your personal development. Your working style is collaborative and inclusive, and you are eager to build strong relationships across the organization. You are driven by creating innovative solutions for global challenges and have an ambition to become a future leader in Maersk.
Location & Language
You have a desire to work in different geographic locations, as international mobility is key in the Go with Maersk graduate programme. The job offer will be subject to you having a valid work permit for the job location. Excellent English language skills are a must and additional languages are a plus.
Where in the world can I Go with Maersk?
During your two years as a graduate in Maersk, you will participate in four modules which will take you to four different continents. Your travel for the modules will occur while you are based in your home country. Upon graduation, you will embark upon a 2-year expatriation, which is your opportunity to work in a different part of world. Afterwards, you will be expected to return to your home base country and take up a new role.

When will I hear back from you?
We try to get back to applicants within two weeks at any given stage of the application experience. For example, if you have recorded a video interview, please allow two weeks before you hear from us about the personal interview. It is important to us that each application is reviewed carefully, so please bear with us if it takes a little longer to respond.
When will I receive the job offer?
As all locations have their own local recruitment timeline, the job offer will vary by location. We expect to offer positions to selected candidates no later than May 31st.
When does the programme start?
Go with Maersk will typically commence on September 1st. However, in some instances, there will be a possibility to start your job earlier.
Am I guaranteed an expatriation, and am I guaranteed a job after the expatriation?
The offer of expatriation is contingent on successful performance in Go with Maersk. You will be able to apply for several expatriation opportunities and will be asked to prioritize your choices. While there is no absolute guarantee, upon the successful completion of the 2-year expatriation we expect that you return to your base country and take up a role that will fit your career goals, skills, and experience.
Will I be compensated for my participation in the programme?
Yes, we look beyond our direct business competitors to make sure our employees are rewarded in-line with similar roles in other high-performing multinational companies like Maersk. We constantly monitor the compensation market in the countries we operate in order to benchmark our pay competitiveness. Benefit packages are set by employment location based on country market practice – which is constantly monitored too – and national legislation.
Will my salary remain the same during the programme?
All our employees are rewarded for the work they perform, receiving increased rewards for high levels of short-term performance as well as consistent superior performance over time.
Am I entitled to holiday during the programme?
Yes, according to country policy and employment law.
Am I entitled to maternity/paternity leave during the programme?
Yes, according to country policy, considering Maersk Parental Leave policy as minimum standards if more beneficial than country law.
How many graduates are you looking for?
We will hire 75 graduates for positions in over 40 countries on all continents.
Can I expect to work with other graduates during the graduate programme?
Yes! Graduates will build a network that will stretch beyond their time in the programme. As part of the programme’s education modules, there will be business-relevant project work in which the graduates will work together to solve real business challenges.
You will also have the opportunity to get a former graduate as your mentor.
